I stopped my car on the singal while the city light casting a soft glow across the window of my car .

I was on my way back to home from hospital being a doctor is an hectic job where you cannot be relaxed for a bit , but all the tiredness flews away after looking at the smile on the faces of the people we cure .

I leaned back in my back seat while my thoughts drifted back to Kridha , the little girl she was such a mood maker after getting her x-ray done she being all goofy and playing around the kids ward .

Looking at her nobody can tell that she has brain tumour , she was terrified as hell while getting her x-ray done I stayed near her till all of her tests were done .

Looking at her so terrified I don't know but it felt like I was seeing my own reflection but a bit younger .

I was also scared to get my x-ray or any kind of test done after that horrifying incident .

I had to undergo many tests and even a surgery whose scar still reminds me of my vulnerability .

Every word and every touch still reminds me of my misery .

The Honk from behind my car took me out of my thoughts looking at my front I saw the singal has turned green when I was lost in my thoughts .

On reaching the house I heard voices of laughter's and giggles enough for me to understand that there might be some guest .

Walking in saw Maa Talking with Aisha Aunty [ Suha's mother ] beside them sat papa and uncle along with bhai and bhabhi .

'Hello ' I greeted uncle aunty .

' Aap sab yaha vo bhi bhai ke sath chamatkar ho gaya ' I said dramatically looking at bhai .

' Jab jaadugarni ho sath to chamatkar to hoga hi naa ' said aunty giggling while referring to bhabhi .

How are you bhabhi ' I said hugging bhabhi who reciprocated back .

I am fine what about you ' she asked

As always fine and beautiful ' I said batting my lashes .

All of them giggled looking at my entire .

I greeted everyone and sat beside them .

' If all of you are here then why did Suha went home ' I said looking at bhai confused because went back her home .

' We were trying to call but her phone was off actually it was a sudden plan to visit you guys ' said Aunty

' But don't worry she would be here soon' said uncle .

' Okay till then I'll get freshen up ' I said before Walking upstairs to my room .

Soon we were all sited after Suha came giggling while riminicsing our old memories .

' And the day when Raghu and Suha painted each other's face black red just for a paint brush ' said maa making all of us laugh hard .

'And after that aunty made them wash the same clothes to remove the stain and Suha slipped and fell on the floor while trying to sneak out ' i said while laughing hard .

All of us were dying while laughing hard soon we all calmed down while trying to catch our breaths .

' We actually came to give you this ' said Aunty while giving an invitation to Maa .

Looking at the invitation it was actually an invitation for the party after a week for the celebration of 1 year anniversary of Raghav bhai And Bhabhi's wedding .

' It has been a year to your wedding bhai time flew away really fast ' I said

It felt like just a few days ago when bhai told us that he loves someone and how his wedding was fixed with every function to ritual it all felt like the events from yesterday .

I suffered alot to get holiday during bhai's wedding and I actually missed the haldi function .

Soon we all were sitted for dinner aunty and others kept on saying but maa being maa of course wouldn't let them go without having dinner .

While having dinner i looked over to my front only to witness bhai whispering something in bhabhi's ear and her cheeks turning a deeper shed of red .

They look so in love with each other it felt nice to look at them .

' So Jaiveer when are you thinking of getting Ruhi married ' asked aunty .

Whenever she wants to ' said papa .

' But before me won't Suha will get married after all she is older then me ' I said looking at Suha with a mischievous grin spreading across my face .

' Why me they are talking about you ' said Suha glaring at me .

' But aren't you older then me ' I said teasing her .

' Doesn't mean I need to get married before you ' said Suha with pissed look.

' Stop glaring at her she is right when are you getting married ' said aunty hitting Suha on her head .

' ouhh mumma ' suha whined rubbing the area where aunty hurted her .

We let out a laugh looking at Suha pouting looking at aunty , she is adorable .

Soon we were all done with our dinner papa was talking to uncle about some buisness related stuff when I felt a tap on my shoulder .

Turning back I saw bhai standing behind me .

' I need to talk to you about something ' said bhai

' Yeah tell me ' I said looking at him .

' Ruhi I didn't wanted to bring this up but you'd be fine right ' said bhai looking at me with his concerned filled eyes .

I knw what he meant by me being fine .

' Ofcourse I'll be bhai I am not scared of them  ' I said

' I know ruhi but do not pay attention any of the shit that they say ' said bhai holding my shoulders .

' I am not affected by them or there words bhai because I know what's the truth ' I said while keeping my voice low .

' But if they try to harm my self respect then I'll fucking shove my heels down there throat ' I said

' Thats  like my Brave Ruhii ' said bhai before pecking my forehead lovingly whike I hugged him in response .

' Do you still get those nightmares Ruhi' asked bhai after a moment of silence .

' Sometimes ' I whispered .

'But you did took therapys right , then why are you still getting them ' said bhai looking at me with a frown in his forehead .

' I get them very rarely bhai and c'mon I am fine ' I said trying not to maje hum worried .

Promise me you'll tell me if you feel anything wrong ' said bhai

' Okay I promise ' I said joining our pinkys together .

' Now go bhabhi and others are waiting for you ' I said pushing hum towards bhabhi .

Walking back in the house after bidding bye to Rathore's I directly moved to my room and plopped myself on my bed feeling tired .

I sigh left my mouth looking at the ceiling
While my thoughts roam around all the events from the day .

The sleep was far away from my eyes and I know I wouldn't be able to sleep so I thought to read the file of the little boy
About his heart condition .

I was in middle of reading the file when I felt my throat thirsty i Bent on the table to take the glass of water kept on it .

Drinking it I accidentally choked on it while all the water fell on me making my T-shirt wet I instantly picked the file keeping it aside i dave it from getting wet while I Coughed hard and tried to calm myself .

Finally after Calming down I stood up and went to chand ny T-shirt which was wet .

I stood in front of my closet while finding a oversized tshirt for the night in it , finally after finding it I turned around and removed the wet one off from my body before I could put on the T-shirt my gaze fell on my reflection in mirror kept in front of me .

Looking at the scar on the side of my belly and little below my waist ,looking at it all I could remember was the day when I got this .

I traced the scar with my bare hand it was healed long ago but whenever I look at it there was a ache in my chest .

Not wanting to move back to that day I quickly wore my clothes and went back to my room , quickly cleaning all the mess and keeping the file in my bag I went on my bed with my mind full of thoughts .

I was deep in my thoughts and didn't realize when sleep knocked my eyes and soon i was deep in my slumber .
