I opened my eyes feeling something flashing on my eyes I opened them only  to close them again because of the sunlight peeking through the curtains of the window directly falling on my Face I turned on my bed only to witness Shivi sleeping beside me with her mouth open .

Realising I am at my home I jolted up from ready to start my day , it was already 9 o'clock of morning and sleeping more then that something I cannot do .

I entered the bathroom Brushed my teeth and stood under the shower , after taking quick shower I came back to room only to witness Shivi in a weird position .

'Aise hi ajeeb garib tareeke mein soti hai fir bolegi meri kamar dukh rahi hai ' I mumbled to myself shaking my head at her .
[ She seeps in weird positions and then complains about having a back pain ]

Moving out of the room I meet downstairs nad directly went to kitchen , only to see Maa preparing breakfast along with some servants .

Good morning everyone ' Maa smiled looking at me .

Good morning bacchu , dud you slept well ' asked maa while I back hugged her seeking her warmth .

Yes I did and why are you preparing breakfast I thought today I'll make breakfast ' I said while pouting looking at her preparing Chokha for Aloo paratha .

Are you preparing Aloo paratha ' I said excitedly while looking at her .

Ha , Tumhari favorite hai na isliye ' said ma while looking at me .

God maa you know i missed your food so much in Delhi , every morning I would wake up and prepare breakfast for myself and sometimes would leave without having it , as I was too lazy to make it ' I said while taking flour to knead  it .

Arrey why are you kneading the dough ,leave it ruhi i or any of the helper will do it ' said maa while glaring at me .

No I'll do it you prepare the Chokha I'll prepare the dough , it has been so long since I last worked with you like this in kitchen and had breakfast with you ' I said while taking water to pour it in flour .

Me and Suha were literally homesick ' I kept on blabbering about things of delhi  and my homesickness .

Soon Maa was done preparing Chokha and after few minutes I was done with kneading the dough and kept it near on platform beside stove.

When you'll join your work Ruhi , dont you dare tell me it's from today maa ' ahe said while making faces .

No Maa I'll join work after a week even Suha also gonna join in a week , we thought to spend at least a week with you guys before joining back to work because once we join we won't be able to spend time with you guys ' I said while Giggling finding her cute .

Thank God varna abhi mein meri karchi uthne vaki thi ' she said while dramatically sighing as if aine burden was lifted off her shoulders .

Seriously Maa you were gonna heat me with Karchi ' I said with disbelief.

Beta teri shaadi ke baad bhi mein teri pagal pantiyo pe tujhe maarungi ' she said smiling wittyly at me .
[ Dear I'll hit you even after your marrige at your stupidness ]

We both giggled and I kissed her cheeks ' I missed you so much Maa ' I said with few drops of tears in my eyes .

Arrey ro kyu rahi hu now you are here with us ' she said while wiping my tears ans hitting me in the head on my stupidity .
[ Why are you crying ]

'Pagal ladki ' to which I smiled .
[ Crazy girl ]

Maa was making paratha whike I was sitting on the platform of kitchen .

Ruhi ' said maa while looking hesitantly at me .

Hmm ' I replied

Do you still get nightmares about it ' asked maa while looking worriedly at me .

I froze at my place , that incident is something I can never forget about it is a ugly memory of my life .

Do you still get it baccha ' she said cupping my face .

I do but sometimes , there are rarely times when I get them ' I said while gazing at her .

That means you still get them but why bachhu ' said maa while cupping .

Don't worry Maa , I am fine moreover now i am with you guys I am more then better' I said trying to relieve her .

Don't change the topic Ruhi , are the nightmares the flashback of that day or something else ' maa said sternly looking at me .

They are the flashbacks but I rarely get them sondobt worry or agar mujhe kuch issue hota to mein sabse kee aapko hi batati ' I said while trying to Coo her .

Sometime I wonder Ruhi what if you couldn't save yourself that day I would've lost my Little Ruhi ' Maa said while gazing at me .

But I did saved myself right , and it's in the past and now I am standing in front of you not as little Ruhi but as Dr . Ruhika Mehra one of the best Heart surgeon ' I said while hugging her trying to calm her .

I was talking with Maa when papa entered the kitchen .

Good morning ' I greeted him to which he greeted back .

Kya baatein ho rahi hai Maa Beti mein ' said papa while standing near kitchen counter .

' Nothing , aap yaha kitchen mein aaj kyu' i said while narrowing my eyes .

My papa is someone who makes really delicious food but he only cooks during weekends or on some special occasions .

What can i do beti to mere sath time spend kar nahi rahi ' said papa while dramatically pouting .

Arrey you were busy so I didn't disturb '

I know don't worry I am just kidding ' said papa while he rufdeled my hair and kissed my forhead .

You sit I'll serve breakfast to you ' I aaid while pulling him to dinning table .

We were done with our breakfast with some chatting and teasing and of course dad flirting with Maa .

My dad is the biggest supporter of my Mother , He is someone who actually worships the ground my Maa walks on .

I've always dreamt of to have someone who would love me as my father loves my mother .

But still everytime the reality strikes that maybe I'll never ne able to experience such love due to my past.

Sometimes relatives or other people ask about Me getting Married , I am not sacred of commitment I am Scared rehta if he doesn't love me after knowing my past .

I had only one crush I my while 27 years of existence that to in my 9th grade , which also flew away after looking at his some Chapri harkatein .

The Mehra's decided a day out for today bout Hai veer had some important meeting lines up due to which they postponed their dayout to tomorrow .

Half of the went by Ruhi gossiping and talking to her mother .

After which they decided to watch a web series .

But ruhi had to leave at evening with Suha to surprise one of their childhood best friend .

Vihaan Singhania

Ruhika , Suhana and Vihaan three of them have been the bestie's since their primary school .

Ruhi and Suha met Vihaan during their Primary school since then Three of them have been together and inseparable .

On the way toward Vihaan's house my  thoughts drifted to mornings conversation with Maa .

What if I wasn't able to save myslef that day .

Then may be I might've died there and wouldn't be present here .

Let's just not thing about it mess up my mind .
